Technology Landscape Analysis and Road-map Creation

CLT will help create technology development programmes that underpin future product generations. Our technology landscaping and product road-maps consider:

  • Market needs and trends
  • Internal technical capability and R&D development plans
  • Access to technology through open innovation and partnering
  • Piloting and market-testing requirements
  • Certification and testing obligations
  • Resource and investment availability

Landscape analysis examines the technology and strategies of other companies and organisations related to the target market. It considers technology acquisition and collaboration activity, funding and investment activity, and research trends at Universities and Institutes. A landscape analysis considers the range of technologies being pursued (or not), where capabilities are located, IP ownership, and relevance to the market. The resulting information is converted into potential opportunities which could include: in-house or collaborative developments, through to new investment or M&A. CLT will help select and prioritise opportunities and options, to create a Technology or Product Roadmap for the business.

Facilitating Innovation Programmes

CLT designs, sets up and supports cleantech innovation programmes and workshops for:

  • The generation and capture of new ideas
  • Testing the commercial feasibility of new ideas at an early stage
  • Managing the communication of new ideas internally and externally
  • The development of new business plans

Drawing on corporate venturing and venture capital disciplines, CLT can provide a practical set of tools and processes to help its client teams develop their cleantech innovation portfolio.
