Patrick focuses on investment readiness and commercialisation strategy as well as support for investor presentation, discussion and negotiations.

Patrick has over 20 years of venture capital experience combining the making and managing of investments in a range of new technologies - including fibre optics and laboratory testing - and old economy sectors including business outsourcing and infrastructure. He has also worked on capital markets transactions spanning IPOs, bond issues, and the raising of Venture Capital funds.

Patrick was Director of the Investment Business at 3i plc and holds a Natural Sciences degree from Oxford University

Beverley Gower-Jones

Beverley has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry with particular emphasis on corporate venturing in technology start-ups. Previous roles include:

  • VP, Shell Technology Ventures

Beverley started her career with Shell Exploration and Production, where she worked internationally for 10 years, and holds a Mining Geology degree from University College Cardiff

Mark Bornhoft

Mark Bornhoft

Mark focuses on operational and commercialisation strategy as well as support for fund raising. He has managed and delivered consulting services to over 40 low-carbon entrepreneurs in solar, marine and wind energy, fuel cells, low-carbon materials, building products, biofuels, energy efficiency, and industrial processes.

His business skills in technology commercialisation include: new venture planning, route to market strategy and support with market engagement, competitive analysis, product development reviews, funding plans, and mentoring to CEO and senior team. His earlier career was in the telecommunications, energy, and software sectors working for GEC, Nortel, Electricity Corporation of New Zealand, and ERA in a variety of roles. He has spent three years with a VC assessing and leading a spin-out company from the University of Surrey taking it from lab project to application demonstrations for industry clients, and managed the subsequent sale of the technology.

Mark holds a degree in Maths and Physics from University of Manchester and an MBA from University of Otago, New Zealand.
