CLT shortlisted for BusinessGreen Award

Carbon Limiting Technologies is delighted to announce that our Cleantech Incubation Support Programme has been shortlisted for BusinessGreen’s 2019 Technology Awards, in the category of R&D Programme of the Year. Each year, BusinessGreen’s awards showcase some of the most exciting green technology businesses in the UK to investors, policymakers and prospective customers. CLT is honoured to be a finalist.

CLT’s Cleantech Incubation Support programme helps UK-based entrepreneurs commercialise innovative clean technologies. Cleantech innovation is only valuable to the UK economy – and the environment – when it succeeds in the market. Delivered as part of BEIS’s Energy Entrepreneurs Fund, CLT’s incubation support programme has helped 135 entrepreneurs successfully commercialise their clean technologies and is directly contributing to the UK’s energy diversification and decarbonisation goals.

Alongside BEIS’s £72M of grants, the entrepreneurs that have benefited from the programme have raised over £219M of private investment, filed 236 patent applications, developed 61 products, launched 81 customers trials, secured 76 industry partnerships and created 558 jobs.

Now in their fifth year, the BusinessGreen Technology Awards provide a unique opportunity to celebrate the cutting edge technologies and innovators that are working to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, low carbon economy.

The R&D Programme of the Year award will go to the most innovative and exciting R&D programme dedicated to tackling an environmental challenge. The judges are looking for a programme that deploys best practice research and development techniques to deliver progress towards overcoming an environmental challenge.

Winners will be revealed at a ceremony on the evening of 5 December 2019 at Plexal in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
