CLT wins DECC low carbon innovation framework contract

Carbon Limiting Technologies are delighted to announce that they have been successful in winning a framework contract with the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) to provide technical and programme management support services for Low Carbon Innovation programmes.

The programmes aim to invest £150 million into development and demonstration of low carbon technologies over the next 3 years and will focus on the DECC priority areas including offshore wind, marine, energy efficiency in buildings, and carbon capture & storage.

The focus of the framework is to provide technical and programme delivery expertise with the objective of accelerating the commercialisation of economic low-carbon technologies. A range of interventions will be prepared appropriate to the target markets and innovation communities, which may include SMEs and large industrial companies.

The other suppliers on the DECC framework are Ove ARUP, Atkins, AEA Technologies, Mott Macdonald, Parsons Brinckerhoff and The Carbon Trust.

CLT’s contribution to the framework will look to build on our experience in low-carbon technology commercialisation, managing innovation support programmes, and will also complement our ongoing ERDF supported, CLT Clean Tech start-up support for the South East region.

The “ERDF” programme primarily supports early-revenue or established-revenue low-carbon SME’s bringing new products and services to market or expanding their markets. The focus is to provide support with business growth strategy, engagement with route to market partners, and building the executive team.
