Market Analyst / Consultant

The Opportunity

CLT is seeking a Market Analyst / Consultant

CLT has a small core team and is able to offer you the opportunity to get involved with and shape CLT’s growing domestic and international business. This role gives you exposure to the new technologies being developed and experience of working with cleantech innovative SMEs, placing you at the cutting edge of science and technology. You will have an opportunity to make a difference by supporting the commercialisation of these technologies and thereby contribute to the energy transition.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support or lead incubation support tasks for cleantech SMEs
  • Support or lead consultancy projects for public and private sector clients
  • Support the international innovation programme(s)
  • Assist the Clean Growth Fund with landscape maps and support the portfolio
  • Provide input into business development proposals, including creating budget forecasts and contributing to programme development strategies
  • Represent CLT at cleantech events and support events that CLT hosts
  • Support or lead internal activities of the company, including building CLT’s knowledge base, improving internal business processes and maintaining the marketing and contacts databases

CLT will support you with your development, to gain the experience you need to meet your career goals. As a Market Analyst with CLT, you will have a 2-year tailored career development plan that will be jointly agreed.

The Person

Alongside being a team player with a can-do attitude, at a minimum, we expect you to:

  • Have a passion for sustainability and clean technology
  • Have a good bachelor’s degree in science or engineering
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English, with strong writing and synthesis skills
  • Have excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Have experience conducting primary and/or secondary research
  • Be proficient in the main Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) including building models in Excel
  • Be proactive and willing to get involved in the variety of activities CLT has to offer
  • Have the right to work in the UK

It is desirable for you to:

  • Have a master’s degree in a related discipline
  • Have experience working with clean technology and/or innovation
